When installing T-LON Piston Seals, a set of installation tools will help make the job easier and prevent damage to the seal. These installation tools are a Pusher, a Sizing Ring, and a Piston Adapter.

These tools are generally made out of a nylon material. The Piston Adapter will stretch the piston ring over the piston and pilot it into the groove. The Pusher disburses the load necessary to slider the seal along the adapter and over the piston. Using a sizing ring with an internal taper will help to bring the piston seal back to its original size. We suggest that you utilize these tools for quick repetitive assembly. Installation Instructions: PISTON

Clean gland and lubricate gland hardware.
Install loader in Groove.
Place bullet on piston, then place piston seal on top of bullet.
Push piston seal down until you meet resistance.
Now using pusher, push the piston seal in to the gland.
Remove pusher and bullet; install sizing ring, turning piston while pusing.

Installation Instructions: ROD

Install loader ring in groove. Make sure that the loader ring is not twisted when placed in groove.
With installation tool or by hand, deform rod seal into kidney shape. Insert rod seal and slide into groove, avoiding sharp edges. NOTE: Sharp edges could damage rod seals on installation, causing premature failure.
If roundness is of a concern, a sizing tool can be used to round up the seal.
